JMMB Jingle Jam Competition Strikes a Chord with Jamaica’s Creatives: Celebrating Local Talent and Brand Love

11 September 2025

The JMMB Group is celebrating the resounding success of its JMMB Jingle Jam Competition, a vibrant crowdsourcing initiative that invited Jamaican creatives to compose and perform an original jingle that reflects the heart of the JMMB brand. The competition, which ran from June to August, was designed to deepen community engagement, spotlight local talent, and reinforce the brand’s core values of love, integrity, honesty, openness, and care.

“At JMMB, we continue to explore creative ways to build our brand and connect with the people we serve,” said Kerry-Ann Stimpson, Chief Marketing Officer of JMMB Group. “Music is a powerful tool—it inspires, unites, and uplifts. Through the Jingle Jam competition, we’ve seen how the rhythm of our brand resonates with the voices of our community, and we’re thrilled by the incredible talent and energy that emerged.”

The competition attracted over 70 entries from individuals and groups across Jamaica, each submitting a fun, uplifting, and memorable jingle that captured the essence of JMMB. Participants were required to incorporate the brand’s values and financial offerings—banking, investments, insurance, and money transfer—into a 60-second original jingle composition.

Entries were judged through a two-phase selection process: public voting via social media, followed by internal judging and team member voting, to select the winners. This approach ensured that the winning jingle not only resonated with the public but also aligned with JMMB’s brand identity.

Reflecting on his win, Alex shared, “It was a joy to create something that felt true to the JMMB spirit. I wanted people to feel the music before the words—and then let the words bring the message home. Winning was a pleasant surprise, but the real reward was the energy and love I felt throughout the process.”

The competition culminated in a handover ceremony where winners were celebrated and officially welcomed into the JMMB creative family. Their jingles will now play a role in shaping the soundscape of JMMB’s brand communications.

It’s a reflection of JMMB’s ongoing commitment to building genuine relationships and supporting the dreams of those it serves.
