JMMB Cops JSE Member Dealer Award, Among Other Awards

JMMB Group and its subsidiary, JMMB Securities Limited, were among the winning circle at the recent Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) Best Practices Awards ceremony, copping a combined total of six awards at the event, which took place at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel.  

JMMB Securities Limited was named the winner of the Member Dealer Chairman’s Award, which recognizes member dealers for their overall performance in the following areas: revenue generation, investor relations, website and expansion of investors and listed companies base. This marks the fourth time the subsidiary has copped this award since its introduction in 2010, underscoring its commitment to transparency, good corporate governance and operating in the best interest of all, to create win-win opportunities. Among the other awards received by JMMB Securities are: winner for Expansion of Investors & Listed Companies Base and Best Website, in addition to the first and second runner-up awards for Revenue Generation & Market Activity and Investor Relations Stockbrokerage, respectively. JMMB Group also walked away with the award for Best Website Listed Company. 

The annual JSE Best Practices Awards is designed to provide an avenue to recognize listed companies and stockbrokers in the securities industry, who uphold best practices, standards and create an awareness of the standards for best practices. Additionally, since 2011, awards have also been handed out by the JSE to member dealers for their contribution to developing the capital market and for upholding best practices standards in the process.
