JMMB Group Brings Christmas Cheer to Spanish Town Hospital 

The JMMB Group team members brought Christmas cheer to the children and staff at the paediatric ward at the Spanish Town Hospital over the weekend (December 22), as part of the company’s annual ‘Share the Love’ initiative.’  On the occasion, the scores of children on the paediatric ward received gifts from the JMMB team and were treated to time of carolling, games and storytelling with Caribbean author and storyteller, Amina Blackwood-Meeks. 

‘The Share the Love’ initiative is a part of JMMB Group’s corporate social responsibility efforts and is a part of our desire to keep the ‘true spirit of Christmas’ alive, focused on sharing love, joy and good tidings with others, explained Stephenie Lugg-Lawrence, senior corporate manager, marketing, JMMB.  Adding, “We were excited to share with the children at the Spanish Town Hospital, on this occasion, having recognized the needs of the children who may feel distressed about being hospitalized, especially at this time of the year. Christmas is typically a time for children to enjoy with their families and so we wanted to ensure that even as these children may spend the time in the hospital, they are feel fully engulfed in love and good cheer. As a company, we are also intentional about spreading joy and love with others and this treat provided another occasion for us to do so.” 

Members of the Spanish Town Hospital team welcomed the initiative by the JMMB team to share with the children in this way, and also joined in the activities during the treat. 

The annual ‘Share the Love’ initiative has also seen the company partnering with other charitable entities namely: #ChristmasInRivertonCity, the Feeding of the Five Thousand and Gift of Love Ja during the Yuletide season to spread cheer and give of themselves to children, inner city residents and homeless individuals in the corporate area.

Such partnerships are in line with JMMB’s core values of love and togetherness, whereby the company is actively and publicly involved in charitable activities within the society as it seeks to enrich the lives of others and to unearth the greatness in each individual.
