JMMB Joan Duncan Foundation Supports the Fight Against Breast Cancer

11 October 2018

The JMMB Joan Duncan Foundation joins in supporting the fight against breast cancer by partnering with the local lead advocate, the Jamaica Cancer Society, with several of their initiatives during October, namely: Pink Day, celebrated on October 5; the yearly Keeping Abreast Luncheon on October 25; and the annual Pink Run slated for October 28, where members of the JMMB Group will show solidarity with the cause.

The company has also provided financial support to the Society, to assist it in achieving its mandate to fight and defeat cancer in all its forms.  The Jamaica Cancer Society is engaged in activities for education and screening for the prevention and control of cancer in Jamaica, and the support of survivors through groups such as Reach to Recovery, for breast cancer survivors.  This October, the Foundation is also partnering with JMMB team members to fund screening for a select number of individuals who are high risk for breast cancer, and unable to afford the cost associated with doing a mammogram.
