JMMB Portmore Location Temporarily Closed, Due to St. Catherine Lockdown

15 April 2020

The JMMB Group has temporarily ceased operations at its Portmore location, which offers the full-suite of services – banking, investments, money transfer and insurance, as a result of the government’s announcement on April 14 that, effective Wednesday, April 15 at 5:00 a.m., there will be a lockdown for the parish of St. Catherine, until Wednesday, April 22, 2020, initially.

In keeping with JMMB’s commitment to its clients, the financial institution encourages clients to utilize its alternate service channels, JMMB Moneyline (for online banking) and Visa-certified automated teller machines (ATMs), to conduct transactions, in order to limit social interaction and to keep themselves and their loved ones safe.

JMMB Group’s other island wide locations remain open on Mondays to Fridays, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., with the exception of its Junction branch, which remains temporarily closed as well, with those clients being served out of the Santa Cruz branch.

JMMB is also taking the opportunity to invite its clients’ patience and understanding, as the St. Catherine lockdown may also impact other service areas, including its Client Care (call) Centre and deposits made at its ATMs.

The JMMB Group will continue to monitor the notices being disseminated by the various government authorities, and will provide updates via its social media channels and its website (jm.jmmb.com).

In the meantime, the organization continues to implore its clients to adhere to the safety measures and guidelines put out by the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
