JMMB Ignites SME Growth with Launch of its Third SME Accelerator Cohort

1 July 2026

The JMMB SME (Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise) Resource Centre has officially launched Cohort 3 of its SME Accelerator Programme, bringing together a dynamic group of entrepreneurs poised to scale their businesses and drive economic growth across Jamaica and the wider region.

Now in its third year, the JMMB SME Accelerator Programme is designed to equip established small and medium-sized enterprises with the tools, coaching and strategic guidance needed to strengthen operations, enhance financial management and achieve sustainable expansion. Through a blend of structured workshops, one-on-one mentorship and performance tracking, participants are empowered to refine their business models, improve efficiency and position themselves for long-term success.

Delivering remarks at the launch, Shani Duncan-Falconer, Senior Corporate Manager, Group SME Resource Centre at JMMB, underscored the transformational impact of the initiative. “It’s not just about training sessions or workshops; it’s about transformation. We are helping entrepreneurs unlock what’s possible, refine their strategies and build businesses that are capable of far more than they imagined,” she said.

This year’s cohort again reflects a diverse cross-section of industries, including manufacturing, retail, logistics, healthcare, technology, energy and the creative and service sectors, highlighting the breadth of innovation and enterprise emerging within the SME landscape.

A key feature of the programme is its continued support beyond the classroom. Participants join a growing community of entrepreneurs who collaborate, share insights and access ongoing coaching long after the formal programme ends, fostering sustained growth and resilience.

For past participant Kamille Jackson of Three: 3 Projects, the programme’s value extends far beyond business development. “It was more than just learning about my business—it was about connecting with other entrepreneurs, sharing ideas and continuing to learn and be inspired by each other,” she shared.

With a highly competitive application process that selects only a small percentage of applicants, Cohort 3 represents a group of high-potential businesses ready to accelerate their growth journey. As JMMB continues to support in entrepreneurship, the programme stands as a powerful catalyst for innovation, job creation and economic development.
