Foundation Awards Over J$7M in Scholarships to Transform the Lives of Over 100 Students
Sixteen (16) students drawn from some of the country’s top universities were named among this year’s JMMB Joan Duncan Foundation scholarship recipients during a recent award ceremony, which took place at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel. For the 2017/18 academic year the Foundation awarded approximately J$7 million in scholarships to over 100 students attending primary, secondary and tertiary institutions as well as special needs schools.

The JMMB Group's entry into the commercial banking foray was made official, with the formal transition from JMMB Merchant Bank to the rebranded entity, JMMB Bank, today (August 14).
JMMB Group 1st Quarter Revenue Up
JMMB Group recorded net operating revenue of J$4.05 billion for the first quarter ending June, 2017; this represented a 19% increase year-over-year. The regional financial entity’s - with operations in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago - net profit totaled J$613.4 million, which reflected a marginal growth of 3%, compared to the corresponding prior period.
