Many women aspire to not just climb the rungs of the corporate ladder, but to shatter the proverbial glass ceiling, taking a seat at the boardroom table, among their male counterparts. Parental involvement is touted, by experts, as one of the key prongs for success in the learning process and above average academic performance. Castleton Primary School, a rural area school nestled in the hills of St. Mary, with a student population of 129, has embraced a new way of thinking and approach to garnering parental involvement.

JMMB Bank signed an agreement with the Hugh Wynter Fertility Management Unit (HWFMU) at The University of the West Indies, last month (April 2019); to provide up to J$5 million in loan financing, for individual patients, to help offset the cost of infertility treatments and other related services, offered by the unit.  

This special, unsecured maternity loan, offered by JMMB Bank, is a first of its kind in the Jamaican financial sector.

JMMB Group Limited (JMMB) has committed to investing a minimum of US$200 Million in Alignvest Acquisition ll Corporation (AQY), which is a publicly-traded Special Purpose Acquisition Corporation that is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
